First, thank you to all of you who have written comments on my blog.
Second, today I would like to respond to as many comments as possible. Unfortunately, I do not read Russian so am unable to respond to those comments, but I would like to ask my Russian fans a favor. If any of you know a publisher, would you suggest they contact my publisher, WBusiness Books at www.WBusinessBooks.com to publish my book: Million Dollar Cup of Tea, the Founding of Oregon Chai in Russian? It will be published in China the end of this year so why not Russia too?
One writer wrote, “why hang onto the negative?” I’m not sure what the writer meant but that is a good subject, especially today when we are in the midst of a global recession; where American small businesses are not able to get credit; where Americans are losing their jobs and their homes. Hard to keep your chin up all the time. Also, I grew up and lived in the Pacific Northwest for most of my life. When I moved to California my new doctor checked my level of Vitamin D and found it was seriously low. Vitamin D deficiency can cause depression, how negative is that? Also, I learned that the body makes Vitamin D from sunlight. You need at least 15 minutes of sun each day. There just is not enough sun in Oregon to do the job.
I believe the best way to avoid negativity is to get involved. Work hard, volunteer, visit your family and friends. If you have a small business and sales have dropped then look at where you can save money. Perhaps you need to look closely at the margins and sales levels of your products. Are all of your products doing well? If not, it may be time to take one off the shelf. Luckily, we have the internet – are you using it effectively? Oprah sends out emails daily. Start a blog – tweet – etc. However, whatever you do make sure you offer quality. Blogs are not just about sales, they are about education and communication.
Someone else asked what template I use for this blog: WordPress
Yes, you may “grab my rss feed” whatever that is. If you want to quote or use anything from this website and blog you may do so just as long as you give credit as follows: from Tedde McMillen, Author Million Dollar Cup of Tea, www.milliondollarcupoftea.wbusiness.biz.
Another writer wrote: “When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service?” I checked with WordPress Help to see how to resolve this matter and here is what I found: “WordPress itself doesn’t send out emails to subscribers. You need a plugin for that. Since you don’t have such a plugin installed, I can only guess that your user subscribed to your comment feed and it’s the feed notifications that s/he is receiving. Are you signed up with anything like Feedburner.”
Best Wishes, Tedde
